"Book lovers never go to bed alone"

This is a good shoot em up style action thriller about a cop drawn into the world of anti-terrorism task forces and black ops.
Terrorists develop a pathogen that controls the basic functions of the brain stem after the person infected with the disease would normally have died. The reanimated people or 'walkers' as they are known take on the characteristics of zombies and pass on the pathogen through saliva when they bite.

The disease also stops blood flow to areas of the body that are damaged, so the only way to kill them is to shoot them in the head.

Lots of blood, lots of fun, good characters and twists
