I was attracted to this book by the title as I am interested in books related to the famous Count Dracula. This is not about Dracula however but about Bram Stoker the author of the seminal vampire book. It is put together as a collection of papers such as diary entries and letters most supposedly written by Bram Stoker. The dossier is set in the period prior to the writing of Stoker's Dracula and deals with Stoker's involvement with a character who turns out to be Jack the Ripper.
The writing style is very much of the period and the novel is very slow to start with but once the Ripper character is intoduced it is more interesting and quite suspenseful. Al ot of horror elements as well.
I enjoyed it and would like to read more about Bram Stoker's life.
