This book was the most gripping story that I have read all year and the most scary part is that it is a true story.  This book isn't spectacularly well written but I enjoyed reading it! Mainly because although it is supposedly fiction, Nicole Richie draws heavily on her own life and those of her friends (or "frenemies") and I enjoyed trying to work out who the "fictional characters" were in real life! Chloe Parker is obviously Nicole and Simone Westlake is obviously Paris Hilton (and after reading this book I can understand why they probably had a falling out!) This one was a guilty pleasure!

I enjoyed reading this book as I have been to Wyoming a couple of times and I know the area that Annie Proulx lived in quite well. "Bird Cloud" is the name of the property that Annie develops and along the way she gives you a history of the area and the animals that you find there (such as the resident mountain lion that possibly caused a cow to fall off a cliff so that it could have steak!!)
