"Just about to finish this shocker and agree this is a book you can't put down. It never ceases to amaze me just how depraved some humans can be but when you look at Floyd's abusive upbringing no wonder he turned out like this!!! Not that…"

"A beautiful child" by Matt Birbeck

This book was the most gripping story that I have read all year and the most scary part is that it is a true story. A beauiful and exceptionally smart young girl called Sharon Marshall was kidnapped at a young age and brought up by a murderous fugitive. Her young son, Michael, goes missing and while investigating this the Police discover that Sharon too was kindapped at a young age. No one knows where Michael is or Sharon's true identity. This is a sad and baffling mystery that will make you…See More

"The truth about diamonds" by Nicole Richie

This book isn't spectacularly well written but I enjoyed reading it! Mainly because although it is supposedly fiction, Nicole Richie draws heavily on her own life and those of her friends (or "frenemies") and I enjoyed trying to work out who the "fictional characters" were in real life! Chloe Parker is obviously Nicole and Simone Westlake is obviously Paris Hilton (and after reading this book I can understand why they probably had a falling out!) This one was a guilty pleasure!

"I just finished reading "She's come undone" and I thought it was a great book too. You were never really sure what was going to happen or who was going to stay in Dolores' life - lots of characters came and went."

"What a terrible mountain lion! It should think about vegetarianism. Far better for the cows."

"Bird Cloud: A memoir" by Annie Proulx

I enjoyed reading this book as I have been to Wyoming a couple of times and I know the area that Annie Proulx lived in quite well. "Bird Cloud" is the name of the property that Annie develops and along the way she gives you a history of the area and the animals that you find there (such as the resident mountain lion that possibly caused a cow to fall off a cliff so that it could have steak!!) A lot of archaelogy & geology of the area is included - so an interesting read for those interested…See More

Certainly ain't safe for a squid round here; funkiest dinner plate serving has been pig's intestines ... but served on organic veggies. Cya soon, hanging for a steak.

Thanks Ash, the boys are so cute. They change and grow every day and it surprises me each time. How did the trip go, you were away I think in March when we came in. We will have to stop in next time we are in Sydney. Will probable be December I think.
