Thursday Mens Book Club reading/discussion group..the story so far....

Just a reminder that the reading group will be meeting every 4th Thursday of the month in 2010.

Jan 28th : “The Corrections” by Franzen, J ; and /or “The Mud Brick House” by James Glover

Feb 25th: “The Curious incident of the Dog in the Nightime.” by Mark Haddon and/or “Stories of Manhood” by Steve Biddulph

Mar 25th: “Luck and leather” a Parisian Romance. (Also under the title of "The wild Ass's Skin" ) Honre de Balzac

April 22nd: “Tolkien and the Great War”. and/or "Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks (pre ANZAC long weekend)

May 27th: “Things I didn’t know” Biography by Robert Hughes.

June 24th: “Dubliners” by James Joyce (Post Bloomsbury?) and selections from "Ulysses"

July 22nd: TBA possibly “The Missing” by Gautreaux, T. and/or "Bloods a Rover" by James Ellroy

Aug 26th: TBA possibly "The Unlikely Voyage of Jack de Crow ” by A.J Mackinnon and/ or "Leviathan" by John Birmingham

Sept 23rd: TBA possibly "Where men win Glory; the Odessey of Pat Tillman" by John Krakauer or "Men who stare at Goats" by John Ronson

Oct 28th: 1984 George Orwells “1984”

Nov 25th: TBA possibly The Slap” by Tsiolkas, C. and "Cloudstreet" by Tim Winton
